First, there's an upcoming radio program in which Irene Thomas will be interviewed about Olaf Palm and her biography of him, "Olaf Palm, A Life in Art". It's on a wonderful public radio program called "West Coast Live", and will be broadcast on Saturday May 5. In the Bay Area you can hear it on KALW 91.7 FM at 10 A.M. PST, and North of the Bay on Jefferson Radio 1300 AM at 10 or 11 A.M. PST
Elsewhere, you can find it streamed live by internet at http://www.kalw.org at 10 AM and at http://www.jeffnet.org at 11 AM.
Another date to mark on your calendar: July 24 at the Mendocino Hotel, there will be an Olaf Palm evening, with stories and music and some sharing of paintings.
Looking far ahead, there will be a month-long Olaf Palm show at the Mendocino College gallery in Ukiah, opening on February 14 2008. With many paintings never-before exhibited, this should be an important show. Irene Thomas will be helping the curator, Paula Gray, and her book will be sold at a special price, serving as the show's catalog.
